Mystical Romania – the land of unique cultural heritage

Romania has a past and folk cultural heritage of great importance and charm. There are many cultural legacy values of national and international awareness, among which stands out: religious and monasteries, monuments and architectural groups, historical and cultural places.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Romania:

  • Churches of Moldavia;
  • Dacian Fortresses of the Orăştie Mountains;
  • Historic Centre of Sighisoara;
  • Danube Delta;
  • Monastery of Horezu;
  • Villages with fortified churches in Transylvania;
  • Wooden Churches of Maramures.

Countless tourist attractions in Romania are the preferred places for rest and relaxation. Peles Castle and Bran Castle (also known as Dracula`s Castel) are the most visited castles in Romania for their medieval atmosphere and legends. The Romanian Black Sea resorts (Costinesti, Mamaia, Mangalia, Saturn, Venus, Neptun and Olimp) are the main temptations during the summer. Throughout the winter, the ski resorts of Poiana Brasov and Prahova Valley are the preferred destinations of Romanian and foreign visitors.

Like other states, Romania is under continuous expansion and tourism entities are looking forward to present the beauties of this small and unique country.
